Webinar on Minimum Energy Performance Standards for electric motor systems

The Leonardo Motors Academy will host a webinar on 5 November 2024 dedicated to an overview of Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) for electric motor systems worldwide.

The webinar will cover electric motors, Variable Speed Drives, pumps, fans and compressors. Next to Minimum Energy Performance Standards, the underlying international standards will be presented.

Some more generic questions regarding the future of MEPS, their global acceptance and alignment, will also be discussed, such as:

  • Are MEPS levels for motors at IE4 reaching their maximum?
  • What are options for policy makers beyond that?
  • Could the best practice MEPS serve as a model for other countries?
  • What are major challenges associated with setting MEPS?

Finally, further resources and useful information on the topic will be referenced.

Speakers: EMSA Platform Managers Maarten van Werkhoven, TPA advisors & Rita Werle, Impact Energy
