4E Chairman Hans-Paul Siderius welcomed the news that the UK has confirmed its membership of 4E, joining the nine other nations which have agreed to co-operate under the banner of 4E to stimulate more energy efficient electrical equipment. “The UK have been very active in getting 4E off the ground and it is great news that they can now take part as a full member.  It is particularly exciting since the UK will lead one of the core activities: the Mapping and Benchmarking Annex, which we hope to approve at the next ExCo meeting in April 2009.”
